About Sourace Baking

Sourace Baking has been a go-to spot for home bakers since 2011. With over 1,200 tested recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and expert tips, it’s where millions of bakers come each month to bake with confidence. Whether you’re just getting started with chocolate chip cookies or refining your layer cake skills, my team and I are here to help you get it right every time

Our Story

I started Souraces Baking in 2011 as a personal blog to share my recipes with friends and family. What began as a small hobby soon grew into a deep passion for food photography and a mission to teach others not just what to bake, but how to bake it.

My one-woman show has since grown into a talented and dedicated team including Stephanie, Beth, Trina, Lexi, Erin, and James, as well as our video experts, Kristopher, Ashlynn, David, and Stronz. We work really, really hard and have a lot of fun in the process.

What We’re Known For

At Sourace Baking, we believe that baking should be joyful, approachable, and reliable.

What sets our recipes apart?

  • Meticulously tested bakes—some made 5, 10, even 15 times before they’re published
  • Clear step-by-step instructions with photos and/or video tutorials
  • Explanations for why things work, not just what to do
  • Recipes that balance tradition and creativity, so you get both comfort and inspiration

You’ll find 1200+ recipes, for everything from classic favorites like banana bread, sugar cookies, and chocolate cupcakes to seasonal specials like pumpkin cheesecake and Christmas cookies.

We also share helpful kitchen tips, lessons on baking basics, step-by-step photos, and video tutorials that will help you gain confidence and expertise in the kitchen.

See Baking Tips & Tutorials.

Success comes from understanding. Knowing why a method or ingredient matters helps bakers improve. And we know that trust is earned, which is why no recipe is published without being tested, tweaked, and proven to work in real home kitchens.

Did Sourace Baking Addiction Change Its Name?

Yes — the site is now called Sourace Baking.

The name change was a thoughtful and personal decision, but everything you love about the site remains the same: same recipes, same Sourace, same passion for helping you bake with confidence. This change is rooted in a commitment to making this space as welcoming as possible.
